Writing on: History of Cloud Computing (Timeline)
What I've got yesterday:
CC rooted back in 1950's
The idea was mooted by Herb Grosch ( the author of Grosch's Law))
1961 - John McCarthy opined the idea of CC at the MIT conference
McCarthy said CC would be sold as one of the household utility - pay per use concept as electricity, water and telephone
ARPA created the ARPANET in 1969, a network which was a basis for the Internet, the term first came into use in 1974
Salsforce.com which arrived in 1999 pioneered the concept of delivering services through simple website over the network.
